We are looking for submissions for speed talks, workshop and panel sessions, the Not A Poster session, and creative sessions, indoors and outdoors. You can find more information about each of these below.

Sessions will fit under four themes this year:

  • Creative Conservation: Engaging Through Storytelling & The Arts
  • Conservation Works: Lessons Learned & Models for Success
  • Optimism & Wellbeing: Living & Working in Conservation
  • 2020 And Beyond: A Tipping Point for Nature and People

If your session doesn’t fit into one of these themes, you can still submit it under the topic ‘Other’ on our submission platform and we will get back to you.

Time to get creative with presenting your work at our interactive fair. As long as you don’t use a poster, you are welcome to join, so don’t hesitate to think outside the box!

Do you have a song to sing about your work, or are you a stand-up comedian riffing about the state of the planet? Do you model plasticine, paint or dance for conservation? Do you fancy putting on a conservation treasure hunt or discussing ways to inspire people about nature? In this case, we have slots for you. Outdoor space might be available so just specify in your submission if you’d like to be outside and we’ll get back to you.

Here’s your opportunity to share your story with the audience in five minutes! Don’t want to distract people with slides but would love to use some other props or even no props at all? That’s totally fine! Just make sure to share why your story/project is important and valuable to the conservation sector and/or society!

Sessions last for an hour and a half. Within that time, you can be flexible in terms of structure and format, but we expect that most of the sessions will be interactive workshops or panel discussions.  Each session will be placed in a stream reflecting one of our themes for the conference which are: Conservation Works, Optimism & Wellbeing, Creative Conservation, and 2020 and Beyond. If you aren’t sure where you fit, submit your proposal under the “other” category and we will place it for you.

Submissions are now closed. We will be in touch with the selected presenters towards the end of May.
